The Wuhan Donghu Comprehensive Free Trade Zone(referred to as "Donghu Comprehensive Insurance Area") is the 17th comprehensive bonded area in the country and the first comprehensive bonded area in Hubei Province officially approved by the State Council on August 29, 2011. She is a comprehensive functional area with the highest level of openness, the most preferential policies, and the most complete functions in mainland China. The establishment of the Donghu Comprehensive Insurance Area is an important measure for Hubei Province to vigorously develop an open economy, expand the breadth and depth of its internal and external opening up, and implement the National regional development strategy.Located in the southeast of Wuhan City and the core hinterland of the Donghu National Autonomous Innovation Demonstration Zone, Donghu Comprehensive Insurance District has a planned area of 5.41 square kilometers. East of the urban expressway Guanggu Sixth Road; South of the main freight road Dongyuan South Road, Hurong Expressway; West of the urban expressway Guanggu San Road; North of the city's main road, Gaoxin Fifth Road. The entire project plan is divided into two phases. The first phase of the start-up area is 1.82 square kilometers. It was formally accepted by the ten ministries and commissions of the country on January 15, 2013, and was officially closed on June 29 of that year. The second phase of 3.59 square kilometers has started construction, and it is expected that the overall fence will be realized by September 2016.Since its establishment, the Donghu Comprehensive Insurance Area has been carefully cultivated on 5.41 square kilometers of land, and has taken the initiative to undertake relevant preferential policies and advantageous resources at the national, provincial and urban levels on the basis of giving full play to the advantages of the customs special supervision regional policies. Taking the initiative to guide enterprises to transform and upgrade: Relying on the characteristics of Hubei's export-oriented economy and the industrial foundation of the Donghu High-tech Zone, we will focus on building seven major open platforms, focusing on "advanced manufacturing centers" and "innovation service centers". We will promote the expansion of opening up first, and actively expand the functions of the park. Increasing trade and customs facilitation; We will accelerate the improvement of infrastructure and supporting facilities, and create new management and service systems and mechanisms to provide environmental support for the development of industries and talents.As of the end of July 2016, the East Lake Comprehensive Insurance Area has completed a total import and export value of US$ 20 billion(including the "day trip" business), of which US$ 7.2 billion was exported; There are nearly 150,000 customs declarations and 385 industrial and commercial registered enterprises. In particular, in 2015, the comprehensive insurance area rose against the trend, with 178 new registered enterprises and exports reaching 3.483 billion U.S. dollars(an increase of more than 10 times over 2013, accounting for about 1/4 of Wuhan's exports and 1/8 of Hubei Province). The district has completed construction area of nearly 400,000 square meters, and the area under construction has reached 500,000 square meters. The significant improvement of various indicators has gradually highlighted the new engine role of Donghu Comprehensive Insurance Area in the development of foreign trade in the province.The horn of the fifteenth has been blown.
